Turns out that if you get a few beers in me my motivation to cook a elegant and healthy meal goes right out the window. So the cooking was a little less gourmet and more like my old cooking habits last night in the Shoot To Cook household. After an evening at the bar with some friends I was (not surprisingly) uninterested in cooking something dramatic, time consuming or complex, and certainly not interested in making pictures of it. So it was a canned-chili-taco-salad-in-front-of-the-TV night. The dish wasn’t totally without merit though, since some leftover clementine salsa and cilantro really kicked it up beyond our similar concoctions in the past. But of course we all know that there will be nights like this, hence the reason we actually had canned chili in the pantry.
Today I am working on a couple different projects (along with some freelance work) and don’t have anything super exciting to post, but I decided to share a gratuitous bread photo of today’s loaf. This is a new batch of dough that contains both rye and whole wheat flour and looks simply amazing.
